Message from London

Come to London for the 10th International Augustinian Youth Encounter
The Anglo-Scottish province has the privilege of hosting the next Augustinian Youth Encounter from 9 – 15 August 2010. We look forward to welcoming 350 young adults and religious from around the Augustinian world. It will be an opportunity for participants to share their faith with other young people through prayer, workshops and socialising.
AYE draws together people from many different nations and backgrounds who share a common faith in Christ and friendship in St. Augustine.
‘I call you friends’ is the theme of the Encounter, taken from Jesus' parting message to his disciples in John 15.  In his lifetime Augustine yearned for true friendship, eventually discovering that this is only possible when it is rooted in Christ.  He continues to be a model for young people today who inhabit a world where communication is easy but where true communion - true friendship - often seems out of reach.
