Prayer in time of Recession

In this time of recession, we remember all those who have financial problems and are finding life difficult.
We hold before You, O Lord, all those who are fearful for their jobs, all those who are desperately looking for work and all those who have become depressed and have given up looking.
May Your Holy Spirit come among us to heal the tensions of this time and calm the many fears.
And with Christ by our side, make us aware of each other's troubles so that we may reach out our hands with His friendship and give unstintingly of His love. AMEN
