Get Involved

Remember - if you wish to express your faith or your commitment to your parish or local Augustinian Community the world is your oyster.

Don't forget to make the most of your creativity and whatever talents you feel you have or would like to explore.

If you would like to get involved contact your local Prior or Parish Priest and talk to him about it - you may well find that a new idea will be welcomed.

What follows is a list of some of the activities you might be interested in (in no particular order)
Reading in the Church
Folk Choir
Welcoming people arriving for Mass

Help is always needed for all sorts of things when special occasions arise (Christmas, Easter, Novenas, Triduua...)

What about trying something new - Use your talents with ART, DANCE, CRAFTS, ORGANISING, PUBLICISING etc.

Help is often needed with
IT difficulties - updating the website, helping with the newsletter, doing a mail merge or even helping to deliver what has been prepared.
Some churches have special Childrens’ Liturgies and Faith Friends programmes.
Why not consider your local Rainbows group?
What about getting involved with the local Baptism Team and assist in preparing families for the celebration of this sacrament?
Many places now have a Funeral Team which accompanies the grieving family through this difficult time.
Perhaps you would like to try to help create a Sacred Space where people can step away from their hectic day and spend some time in an atmosphere conducive to reflection.
Don’t be shy. Approach your local Augustinians and discuss what you have in mind with them. If we can offer any help through this website don’t be afraid to ask – just click on the “CONTACT” button at the top right hand corner of the home page and send an email.
